Sharp chooses Software 2000's CDA Driver technologies in latest
Digital Copiers
OXFORD — June 16, 1999 — Software 2000, the world's
leading third-party OEM printer driver supplier, today announced
the use of its CDA (Component Driver Architecture) driver technology
in the latest Digital Copier products from Sharp.
Sharp's new AR-160/200/300/400 Series of multi-function digital
copier are capable of copying, and printing with use of Printer Expansion
Kit. Users can benefit from a wide range of options, including high-speed
A3 printing, Fit-to-page, N-up, Watermarks etc. Network options include
10BaseT/100BaseT support.
Software 2000's CDA technologies are used to provide Postscript,
PCL 5e and PCL XL technologies for Windows NT and Windows-based printing.
By utilizing CDA technologies Sharp benefit from consistent multi-driver
support across the range of Microsoft operating system platforms
together with access to Software 2000's on-going driver development
programme.
