Software 2000 expand Japanese office - Looks Eastward for Growth

OXFORD — February 6, 2002 — Software 2000, the world's leading independent printer driver technology provider, today announced that it has expanded its Japanese office in Tokyo, increasing both its sales and technical support capabilities. This expansion reflects an increasing company focus on supporting and developing the growing business requirements of Software 2000's customers in the Far East including Japan, Taiwan, China and South Korea.

Mr. Kazuo Tagami joins Software 2000 as an OEM Account Manager from Hewlett Packard Japan. His fifteen years of experience in developing and managing business relationships with Japanese technology companies will be used to enhance communications between Software 2000 and its Far Eastern customers.

Mr. Hideaki Kokubu joins Software 2000 as Technical Manager from Xionics Japan. He will provide an increased level of technical expertise, including pre and post sales support and consultancy. He has a wealth of experience and has worked in printer driver and imaging software development since 1988.

Mr Tagami and Mr Kokubu join the Japanese team and will be working with Mr Takafumi Sakamoto, who has been Software 2000's Japanese Representative for the past two years. Over this time, Mr Sakamoto has continued to increase Software 2000's visibility in the Japanese market and he is committed to building on this success. "Our larger team, here in Tokyo will allow a greater focus to be applied to the support and account management of key customers in the region," said Mr Sakamoto. "We are looking forward to enhancing the service that we provide to our Far Eastern business partners", he added.

This enlargement of our local presence means that we are able to respond even more quickly to their needs. In addition our increased sales resources will allow us to develop new customer relationships and to continue growing our business in Japan and the Far East."
