Software 2000 Forges Ahead in Taiwan: Announces Strategic Partnership
with TECO
OXFORD — April 23, 2003 — Software 2000 today announced
a strategic partnership with TECO Image Systems Co., Ltd. (T.I.S.).
This deal marks a significant milestone for Software 2000 in terms
of entering the Taiwanese market and is part of the company's
continuing expansion into the Far East. Under the terms of a long
term agreement, T.I.S. will license Software 2000's advanced
driver development kits (DDKs) to create high performance custom
printer drivers for their range of Multi-Function Peripheral (MFP)
devices. Their printer drivers will incorporate Software 2000's PCL
and GDI driver core technologies.
The technology partnership between the two companies will ensure
that T.I.S. has unrestricted access to the extensive driver development
resources and expertise offered by Software 2000. After a detailed
competitive analysis, T.I.S. chose to work with Software 2000 because
of their quality and reputation as the technology leader in printer
drivers.
