Software 2000 Acquires Justway

Launches First Class Development Services for Japan and the Far East

OXFORD — September 29, 2003 — In response to the growing demand in the Far East for outsourced custom development and testing services for print imaging, Software 2000 is pleased to announce that it has today acquired Justway Co., Ltd and Justway Korea Co., Ltd.

Justway is an established Japanese company, specializing in software development and testing services for printer drivers and imaging related technologies. The company's services are already extensively utilized by major printer OEMs in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and China. With over 50 employees (mainly technical), Justway has developed an excellent reputation for delivering quality services and products in this market. This acquisition creates a winning company combination able to deliver innovative core imaging technologies and the first class development and testing services necessary to turn them into real solutions.

From bases in Oxford (UK), Vancouver (Canada) and Monterey (California) Software 2000 has already established itself as the largest independent supplier of core imaging technologies to printer OEMs world-wide. This acquisition demonstrates the company's commitment to its Far Eastern customers and achieves its mission to better service OEMs in Japan, China, South Korea and Taiwan by allocating dedicated engineering services and support for these regions. Software 2000's existing Japanese staff will join forces with the Justway employees to provide enhanced local customer support delivered through dedicated account managers and experienced customer service and technical staff that are able to communicate in native languages in similar time zones.

The owner of Justway, Takeshi Yamamoto, will continue as President and CEO of Justway and will now report to Peter Lismer, CEO of Software 2000.

Justway will continue to focus on product customization services including combined testing, localization, and network products testing. Software 2000 will continue to develop and extend its core driver technologies leveraging the experience of key members of Justway's core driver technology development team who will liaise and integrate with Software 2000's core development team in Oxford.
