Software Imaging Announces Printer Solutions for Hewlett-Packard JetCAPS Partners Enabling IT Cost Reduction and Ease-of-Use for End-Users OXFORD - September 24, 2004 - Software Imaging is pleased to announce the availability of new custom print driver services, developed specifically for Hewlett-Packard JetCAPS solution partners. Examples of how these services could be used are as follows: Existing HP Users: A large Hewlett-Packard corporate customer may need to make internal cost savings in its printer IT support infrastructure. This could be achieved by simplification of the way in which the printers are used. By taking advantage of these services from Software Imaging, printer drivers can be tailored to achieve specific savings for the corporate environment. New sales opportunity: A tender for a large complex requirement may demand the removal of end-user options from the printer driver user interface and support for AMD64 and the new Windows XP 64-bit edition. Without the ability to change the printer driver, it wouldn’t be possible for the Hewlett-Packard reseller to tender for such business. Now, using Software Imaging’s new JetCAPS partner printer services, the reseller can accurately size the requirement and make a competitive tender to win the business, and then service the requirement easily and cost-effectively. Added-Value Solutions Partner: A partner solution may be developed to include detailed features such as automatic logging of exact numbers of pages printed, user details and other statistical data on a print job, when it is printed.
