Software Imaging is the Quality Option for
ColorGATE
ColorGATE Licenses Industry Leading Halftoning

Software Imaging is pleased to announce a new agreement that will see ColorGATE
Digital Output Solutions GmbH licensing their market leading ColorCore™ Software
Development Kit (SDK).
ColorCore is a highly efficient SDK that allows Software Imaging’s
halftoning and color matching technologies to be integrated into
third-party drivers, raster image processors (RIPs) and application
software. ColorGATE, renowned as a leading developer of extremely
reliable user-oriented software for the graphics industry, will use
the AM and FM halftoning methods within the ColorCore SDK in their
complete range of RIP products. Their products address all areas
of graphic arts by providing support for printers from narrow to
grand format in markets such as fine art printing, proofing, signs,
posters and the production of screen printing films.
The ColorCore SDK supports both AM and FM screening methods including
Advanced Error Diffusion, Software Imaging Stochastic Screening (SISS)
and Better Ordered Screens (BOS) AM screening. These methods will
ensure that ColorGATE’s RIP products deliver maximum print
quality and optimum performance that enables tremendous throughput
to be achieved.
