Additional Job Finishing features include:

Poster Printing

Users can create posters on a device. The print job is automatically scaled as required, or users can select their own custom sizes. Overlap areas can also be selected or pre-configured.

Camera-Ready Copy (different logical-on-physical)

The camera-ready copy function allows users to format a document for a "logical" paper size but have this formatted and printed on a (larger) "physical" paper size. For example where a document is formatted for A5 size paper, but the printer is loaded with letter size paper, the driver will automatically place the A5 pages in the center of the letter pages before printing them. If required, crop marks can also be added to the physical page producing a document that is ready to go straight to repro.

Scaling

Print jobs can also be scaled by different percentage scaling factors and placed on the printed page in various positions. In addition, the driver can also be set to automatically fit-to-page, for example when printing documents formatted for A4 to letter size paper.

Watermarks

Watermarks are provided in all toolkits allowing addition of custom watermarks to either physical or logical pages within the print job.

Overlays

Where the device allows for it, page overlays can also be used to allow persistent watermarks and forms to be stored in a non impact printer. For example, a business form may be downloaded as a page overlay at the start of the job and from this point on only the data necessary to "fill in" the form needs to be sent for each page. This facility avoids having to send the form data again and again for every page and enables faster printing of print jobs and a vastly reduced print datastream. Use and management of Overlays is also manageable through ManageRight.

Special Cover Treatments

Cover pages can also receive special operations, for example the first page printing as 1-up as a cover sheet to a booklet print job which also incorporates the front page.
