Providing Driver Development for Microsoft Platforms

Software Imaging provides a comprehensive set of custom Page Description Language (PDL) and color raster driver technologies through the Component Driver Architecture (CDA) and Sorcerer driver development toolkits and architectures. Software Imaging is also an established Unidrv partner with Microsoft. In this role, Software Imaging has worked closely in cooperation with both printer OEMs and Microsoft creating driver solutions for the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems.

Added-Value Options

Whilst Unidrv provides a great basis for simple printer support on Windows XP, it is limited in both features and performance when compared with the added-value offered by custom driver toolkits.  Despite this, Software Imaging offers OEMs the ability to enhance any Unidrv printer driver solution. Color reproduction and print image quality are two examples that may benefit from such an approach.

Output Quality

Software Imaging's ColorCore product is designed to provide the maximum output quality for any driver. Incorporating both advanced Error Diffusion algorithms and high performance Software Imaging Stochastic Screening (SISS), ColorCore is fully compatible with the Unidrv architecture and as part of a Unidriver solution, delivers quality and performance that is second to none.

Custom Options

Software Imaging also provides solutions for companies who require a fully customized Unidrv printer driver. Examples include company specific additions to the user interface, integration of custom code and the amalgamation of unique value-add options.
