Avery Dennison Complex Print Solutions

Highlights

Avery Dennison of California contracted our services for a number of specialist printing projects spanning three years. We provided development and support for Avery drivers within multiple applications

Initially the principal solution was to provide an intuitive utility that facilitated printing on Avery media from virtually any MS Windows application. Once selected, the utility Wizard was required to guide users through the steps necessary to print their document. In particular to enable Avery DesignPro applications to work with MS Windows applications much as users could select an “Adobe PDF Printer” if Acrobat was installed.

Overview

The deliverable was to provide printing capabilities to the largest possible sampling of third-party applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), as well as common publishing and design applications such as MS Publisher, Print Shop, Adobe Illustrator, and others at that time.

The design was particularly focussed on the user workflow being the best possible user experience by a large cross section of users.

Having already delivered one successful solution Avery approached us again to supply PrintMagicXPS which was to substitute their existing XPS package - which was often failing them regarding quality.

Other projects involved R&D for a new colour tabletop printer soluton which was for an existing Avery customer
